My Story

Hey y’all! I’m Cece Keating, a singer, songwriter, actress, and performer originally from Frisco, Texas. I packed up my dreams and headed to New York City, where I’m living my passion every day by combining my love for music, storytelling, and the stage. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew exactly what I wanted to do; sing, dance, perform, and use my voice and platform to change the world for the better. My mom always told me I knew how to sing before I knew how to talk. As soon as I was old enough, I began piano lessons. At 5 years old I realized my passion for music, but I knew singing was always what I wanted to do. I would see the Disney and Nickelodeon stars like Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande on my screen and wanted to be just like them.

My passion for the stage burned strong, though it wasn’t always easy. In high school, my mom passed away due to liver chirrosis. Through the heartbreak, I accomplished things that year I never thought I could. I performed as the lead in Les Miserables, my mom's favorite musical, two weeks after her passing, and earned the first chair soprano spot in my region choir. My mom was and will always be my biggest fan.

I later moved to New York to pursue music and attend Long Island University, and shortly after, my aunt passed away from cancer. I felt alone and devastated, like losing my mom all over again. But through a songwriting class, I found healing. Writing music truly became my therapy. I pour my heart and soul into every song I sing and every role I perform. I have my angels watching and rooting me on, and with their guidance I make it a priority to connect and inspire other people through my artistry. Through my music, I aspire to build girls' confidence and self-esteem while advocating for human rights, particularly women and LGBTQ+ issues. I hope to inspire others to never give up on their dreams, no matter the obstacles they may face. I want to bring positivity, hope, and love to my listeners, creating a space where all feel welcome and valued.

All this to say, hi, my name is Cece Keating, I have a story to tell, people to connect with, lives to change, and I am so glad you are here to support me during my journey. Enjoy the ride!
